Mrs. Dorothy J. Black Claybrook, 82 of New Site passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020. Private services were held on Friday, December 4, 2020 with burial following at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens between her first husband and her son.
Dot was a longtime member of Scottsboro First United Methodist Church. She spent a great deal of her life devoted to others as an RN at the Jackson County Nursing Home for over 25 years.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Consuela (David) Annastasia Black, Zane Milford, Lisa (Eddie) Jackson, Jake Myers, Drew Myers, Bena’, Shane Olinger, Codi Olinger, Vonda (Mike) Bryant, Josh (Amanda), Daniel (Jessica) Savannah White, Kolten Proctor, Patsy (Gary), Cory (Brooke), Aubree Love; brother, Larry (Gail) Jones. She was preceded in death by her husbands, R.L Black, Billy Joe Claybrook; son, Robert Black; parents, Raymond and Ina Jones; brother, Roger Jones; son-in-law, Benny Olinger; several other friends and family members.
