Kathy Mae Locklear King of Bay Minette and formerly of Pensacola passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev Charles King officiating. Burial followed at Old Prospect Cemetery.
Kathy, Ed and their family lived in Scottsboro from 1990 until 1993. Kathy was a big Alabama fan, and she had a great love for doing arts and crafts. She was extremely talented. She was a very kind, loving mom, but she believed in making you do right.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ed King; daughter, Melande (Ashley Harrell) King; son, Joey (Tammie); granddaughter, Gracie Rose King; mother, Dorothy Glasglow; sister, Tracey (Phil) Parker; nephews, Taylor Boyd and Thaxton Boyd; father-in-law, Clarence King; brother-in-law, Wade King; sister-in-law, Bonita (Al) Urton; nieces, Jennifer Adair, Donna (Savannah Medley) Urton, Toni (Timothy) Capille, Caitlin (Morgan) McNabb; great-nieces, Elizabeth Adair, Cassandra McNabb, Joanna McNabb; great-nephews, Syler Adair, Alvin Capille.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Dottie Locklear; grandmother, Thelma King.
