Emma “Tweedie” Wynne Matthews, 95 of Stevenson, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Funeral services were held on Monday, October 10, 2020 at Valley Funeral Home with burial following in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved and supported her family with her whole heart. We will all miss her sense of humor and her home-cooked meals.
She is survived by her children, Cleo Jones, Gail (Fin) Melville, Cecil David (Doris) Matthews; grandchildren, David (Kris) Carter, Wade (Natalie) Brooks, Michael Koehler, Brian (Liz) Matthews, David Clay Matthews; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Matthews; parents, L.L. and Hettie C. Wynne; three brothers; two sisters.
Thank you to the staff at Cumberland Health and Rehab in Bridgeport for the excellent care she received in her last months.
