Mrs. Doris Jo Holcomb Summerford, 73 of Scottsboro passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Junior Summerford and Rev. Dean Jeffery officiating. Burial followed at Goose Pond Cemetery.
Mrs. Summerford is survived by her children, Jr. (Trenda) Summerford, Bill (Lisa) Summerford, Eddie (Loretta) Summerford, Charlotte (Timmy) Lewis, Lisa (Charlie) Brown, Joe (Renea) Summerford, Michael (Tonya) Summerford, Marty (Heather) Summerford; son-in-law, Aaron Bedford; 55 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Ed Holcomb, Alton (Jane) Holcomb, Robert (Katie) Holcomb; sisters, Linda (Billy) Caylor, Mary (Jim) Potter, Sue (Lamar) Hamill; a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Sarah Summerford, Jackie Bedford; grandchildren, Collin Summerford, Elizabeth Summerford, Chris Summerford; parents, Robert and Oval Holcomb; sister, Joyce Holcomb; daughter-in-law, Redia Summerford.
