Mrs. Carolyn Marie Guffey, 72 of Swearengin passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 surrounded by her family, in her home. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Grant Memorial Chapel with Bro. Alton Willmon and Bro. Nicky Willmon officiating. Burial followed in Gunter Memory Gardens.
Carolyn was born on Friday, May 28, 1948 to J.W and Louise Stevens Ragon. Throughout her life, she was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and caring sister. She was a beloved member of Oak Grove Holiness Church.
Mrs. Guffey is survived by her husband, Larry Guffey; daughter, Kelly (Steve) Cook; son, Scotty (Heather) Guffey; grandsons, Logan Cook, Ethan Cook, Jayden Guffey; sister, Diane Warren; brothers, Jerry (Wanda) Ragon, Dean (Paula) Ragon; many nieces, nephews and other extended family; a countless number of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Louise Ragon; brother, Kenneth Ragon; sister, Joanna Dean.
