Mr. Jimmy “Santa Claus” Lawhorn, 66 of Pisgah passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Kerby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shannon Paschal, Bro. Darrell Hart and Bro. Eddie Smith officiating. Burial followed in Friendship Cemetery.
Mr. Lawhorn was a deacon at New Hermon Church form 19 years. He worked 34 years at Goodyear, and after retirement, he worked his dream job with his son-in-law.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy Lawhorn; son, Rodger (Becky) Lawhorn; daughter, Heather (John) Lawhorn; brothers, Richard (Peggy Sue) Lawhorn, Wayne (Barbara) Lawhorn; sisters, Elisabeth “Sissy” (Lee) Jones, Peggy Nell Lawhorn, Karen Lawhorn; grandchildren, Isaiah (Brianna) Lawhorn, Tyse (fiance, Tracie) Lawhorn, Sadie Lawhorn; great-grandchild, Gracelynn; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, S.W. and Jimmy Lou Lawhorn; sister, Shirley Lawhorn; brother, Phillip Lawhorn.
