Mr. Cledis Jefferson Black, 88 of Murfreesboro passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020. Graveside services were held on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Espy Cemetery with Rev. Pat Coffee and Cory Walker officiating.
Mr. Black is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mary Black; granddaughters, Kimberly (Andre) Buford, Bethany (Cory) Walker, Tamara Kirby; great-grandchildren, Sierra Fortney, Courtney Walker, Peyton Walker, Jarett Walker; great-great-grandchild, Lakynn Grace Walker, who he referred to as the smartest kid he ever saw; sister, Annie Potter.
He is preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Glen Black and Faye Black; granddaughter, Lisa Dawn Black; parents, Henry and Igral Black; sisters, Catherine Fortner, Erlene Campbell, Alma Wright.
