Third annual Operation Back 2 School fundraiser underway

The third annual Operation Back 2 School fundraiser is underway! Currently there are 115 Jackson County children in DHR custody, and 70 of these children will start school in August. This fundraiser is specifically aimed at buying these children back to school clothing.
Operation Back 2 School’s goal is to provide each of the children starting school with a $200 voucher to purchase shirts, pants, shoes and a jacket. Many of these children will not be able to have new back to school clothing without this assistance. A goal of $14,000 has been set to meet these needs for the children through business and/or personal, tax-deductible donations.
Checks can be made payable to We’ve Got Your Back (memo: Back 2 School – Jackson County) and dropped off in person or mailed to ATTN: We’ve Got Your Back, Kids First Pediatrics, 23800 John T. Reid Parkway, Scottsboro, Ala. 35768.

All fundraising progress will be shared on Kids First Pediatrics’ Facebook page.

When funds are disbursed at the end of the fundraiser, all donations (named or anonymous), the total amount raised, any gift card purchase fees and the total amount disbursed will be shared on Facebook, with each $200 or more donation receiving special recognition.
