Walter Rayford McCarver, better known as Bo, born on Saturday, December 16, 1944 to the late Dall and Gracie McCarver, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Crestwood. God stepped in and called Bo to his heavenly home. Funeral services were held on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Rudder Funeral Home Chapel in Scottsboro with Elder Dennis Green officiating.
Bo confessed his life to Christ at an early age at Church of Christ in Scottsboro. He was employed at Revere Copper and Brass Company for 13 years, Executive Lodge Apartments and Sealy Management Company for over 30 years as a maintenance tech.
He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 23 years, Judy Williams-McCarver; children, Sharon (Charles) Smith, Kenneth (Adrienne) Moore, Tamika McCarver-Clay, Robert Wayne Williams, Douglas (Michell) McCarver, Rayford Darnell McCarver, Elijawone L. Douglas, Samuel A. (Krinda) Douglas; sisters, Gladys Gardner, Edna Cutler, Lois McCarver (Harry) Mildred Osifo, Gerline McCarver, Rachel (James) Green; sister-in-law, Dovie Green-McCarver; brothers-in-law, James Williams, George Clay; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dall McCarver and Gracie Cotton-McCarver; brothers, Charles McCarver, Sr., Willard Dall McCarver; sister, Charlotte McCarver-Fitchard; brothers-in-law, Horace Gardner, Robert L. Cutler.
