Ernest Book passed away at the age of 77 on Monday, July 6, 2020. A private gathering was held for family.
Ernest was born on Wednesday, March 24, 1943 to Ernest and Gertie Blood Book. He was raised in Louisiana and was in the oil and gas industry where he worked for Santa Fe Drilling as a Barge Superintendent. He was the owner of Pizza Party U.S.A. and opened it when he moved to Scottsboro. It was a special place to him because it allowed him to do what he loved: meet people. He loved meeting people and always with a smile. Once he met you, your name was never forgotten. He loved golfing at Goose Pond with all his buddies, and he also enjoyed coaching in Scottsboro rec. leagues.
Ernest is survived by his wife Celia; children, Dana (James) Garner, Kayla (Todd) Pinckley, Ernie (Tiffani) Book, Eddie (Tommie) Book; grandchildren, Micah, Mark (Randi) Guillory, Matt (Caytie) Garner, Jack, Devin (Hannah) Book, Alayna, Alyssa, Lily; great-grandchildren, Everlee, Henry; sisters, Lila, Joyce; countless cousins
