Keesha Hudgins/Health Connect America Therapist stated, “There is no one more deserving of the Sue Bell Cobb Appreciation Award than Jackson County Family Wellness Court for the dedication, expertise and leadership they have provided and continue to provide for the citizens of Jackson County. They have a vision that more counties within Alabama need; a vision of hope, of reuniting rather than giving up on those suffering from addiction.”
The Sue Bell Cobb Award is presented to the treatment court team that has contributed greatly to their courts, defendants and local community and has significantly contributed locally and statewide to the overall progress and maintenance of Alabama’s treatment courts. Recipients have shown dedication, expertise and leadership in their treatment court.
Boyanton stated, “Judge Don Word heads the most energetic group of people in the world who are passionate about what they do and are absolutely convinced that they can make a difference in the lives of their participants. You only need to spend a few minutes with Judge Word to realize that this is not just a job for him; he genuinely cares for these participants.”
