Known to the locals as Patrick from the Meat Market, 38 year old Patrick Woosley was born and raised in Scottsboro to Ms. Rita Woosley and the late Mr. Bobby Woosley. He received his full education right here at Brownwood and Page Elementary, Scottsboro Junior High and graduated from Scottsboro High School in 2001.
Woosley is the owner of Patrick’s Meat Market and although running a small business has been tough, it has been rewarding. Spending time with and serving the people of his hometown is Patrick’s favorite part of his job. He is looking forward to further serving the community as an elected member of the Scottsboro City School Board Place 4.
“Coach John Esslinger has left a lasting impression on this whole community and leaves some big shoes to fill, but I feel I am the person for the job. I seek this position because of the love for my children and those who mold their lives. I have children of my own in this school system, and I have a vested interest in its success. If I can leave you with two points to remember about this election, it’s that this is about Scottsboro City Schools and not about Patrick Woosley or anyone running against me. It’s about the students and staff at each school. From our principals to our custodians, I am in it for them – not myself. The next thing I’d like you to remember is Proverbs 22:6, ‘Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it.’”
Woosley is married to Katie Harries Woosley, and they have three children together, Emma aged 13, Harper aged 9 and Payton aged 6. With his strong faith, relentless work ethic and support from everyone who loves him, Woosley humbly asks for your support on August 25th to help him continue to support and represent his community and our most vital resource – our children.
“If you have any questions or concerns, come on in to the shop, and I will happily talk with you.”
