CASA of Jackson County is pleased to announce we are reopening as AGING AT HOME SUPPORT for Jackson County Seniors on June 15th. We are getting back to our roots—serving the aging population of Jackson County. For now, our services will be limited to a telephone assurance program and building ramps for our seniors (age 60 or older). In the future we hope to include durable medical equipment, but that will depend on the community’s support.
In order to fund these and future services we need financial help. We appreciate those who have continued to support us during our temporary closure. Let’s make sure that Jackson County is known for caring about our aging population.
The Telephone Assurance Program is designed to provide security, alleviate loneliness, reduce isolation, avoid victimization, and prevent premature entry into nursing homes. To do this we must work as a community helping our elderly neighbors. You can make a difference and it only takes a 15-minute phone call! If you would like to volunteer, please call Aging at Home Support (a part of CASA of Jackson County) at 256-259-3736 or email us at casaofjacksoncounty@gmail.com. In addition, if you or someone you know needs this service, please call or email and we will get back to you.
Need a ramp built? Just call or email and we will schedule an appointment at your home.
We will not have a food pantry nor are will be accepting donations of material goods at this time; therefore, please do not leave any donations at the building.
