Robert “Junior” Sanders, 87 of Scottsboro passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Sanders-Mill Creek Cemetery at Skyline.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked at Norandal until his retirement.
Robert is survived by his son, Anthony (Tara) Sanders; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Billy Sanders, Lucille Peacock Evans, Stanley Wayne Peacock, Doyle Edward Peacock; a host of nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie Dalton Sanders; sons, Ronald (Ronnie) Ray Sanders, Robert (Robbie) Eric Sanders, Thomas (Eugene) Dodd; father, James Arthur Sanders; mother, Eva Sanders Peacock; sisters, Pauline Sanders Putman, Annie Ruth Sanders Robertson, Edith Peacock Hanks; brothers, James Howard Sanders, John Franklin Peacock; great-grandchildren, Andrew Smith, Landyn White.
