Mr. Erby “Bumpy” Wooten, 87 of Rainsville passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at DeKalb Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Wilks officiating. Burial followed in Town Creek Cemetery.
Bumpy is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bonnie Mountain Wooten; sons, Jerry Don (Gail Massey) Wooten, Billy Joe Wooten; daughters, Peggy Ann (Warren) Spears, Tracie Lee (Christopher) Caudill, Sandy Cain; sister, Shirley Johnston; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Rosalee Wooten; brothers, Loyde Wooten and Clifton Wooten; sister, Edna Faye Payne.
