James Lelton “Boodajack” Walker, Jr.

James Lelton “Boodajack” Walker, Jr., age 70, passed away on March 4, 2025. Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 9, 2025 from the St. Elizabeth Baptist Church. Interment followed on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Mr. Walker is survived by his children, Conbreshia Rambert, Matthew Lee, Skylar (Lattoria) Lee, Paul Lee and Shingin Lee; sisters, Sandra (Robert) Patterson, Deborah (Jerry) Henry, Gwen (Charles) Beard, Rosia (Rudy) Henry, Lanette (Patrick) Williams, Bridget Caldwell, Brandi Walker and Rachelle Walker; brothers, James Eric (Jimmy) Walker and James Allen; grandchildren, Tiaseer Rambert, Jalaizha Lee, Jakylan Lee and Maniya Morris; stepmother, Mary Walker; special aunts, Alice Hardic and Genva Walker; uncle, Thomas Walker; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents, James Lelton Walker, Sr. and Clara Louise Walker; sisters, Patricia Moore, Shirley Robinson, Angela Stubbs and Wanda Walker.
From an early age, James embraced Christ, becoming a dedicated member of St. Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, where his spiritual journey flourished. In 1996, he was ordained as a minister, delivering his first sermon, “Building on Christ’s Solid Foundation.” James continued serving as a devoted minister until his health declined. Despite this, his unwavering faith and passion for spreading love never faltered.
Those who knew James could not forget his infectious humor and warm laughter. His presence always filled the room with joy, whether with family, friends, or strangers. His ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved was a rare gift. The laughter he shared with others lingers in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
James’ journey on earth ended, but the memory of his laughter, love, and deep faith will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in his light. He lived a life that exemplified the power of joy, faith, and family, and his love will continue to spread through the lives of those who carry his memory.
Rest in peace, Boodajack. You will forever be missed, but your light will never be forgotten.
