Lois Sampley Gibson, age 88, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home. Rev. Ryan Robertson and Rev. Chris Bell officiated. Interment followed in the Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Gibson is survived by her children, Cynthia (Ricky) Kirby, Donna West, Wallace (Phyllis) Gibson, Paul (Glenda) Gibson; grandchildren, Christopher Kirby, Kevin Kirby, Nathan Gibson, Matthew Gibson, Todd Wilson, Tracy Wilbourn, Emery Massey, Laura Robertson, Chasity Gibson; 28 great grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; care givers, Betty Steele, Lily Gibson, Martha Fairbanks, Travis Gibson.
Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her parents, J.E. “Buster” Sampley and Mary Ann Sampley; and husband, Robert D. Gibson.
