Jackson County EMA Director Hired

The Jackson County Commission recently approved the hiring committee’s recommendation to hire Deputy Emergency Management Agency Director Josh Whitcomb as Jackson County Emergency Management Agency Director.
Current EMA Director Paul Smith will officially retire from his position on January 1, 2025.

The hiring committee received seven applications for the position and of those seven applications, only four candidates qualified for the position. Whitcomb has worked as the Deputy Director since 2019.
