George D. Long, age 76 of Scottsboro, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. David Long officiated. Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Long is survived by his sons, Carthel Grayson, Dennis Earl (Jenny) Long and Paul (Kayla) Long; daughter, Penny Johnson; four brothers, James Long, William “Bill” Long, Andy Ray Long and Teddy Long; as well as four grandchildren.
Mr. Long was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Williams; parents, George Long and Margaret Long; sisters, Peggy Erby, Mary Lee Erby, Judy Erby, Wanda Long and Brenda Blevins; and brother, Randy Long.
