Janice Maria McAllister, age 64 of Scottsboro, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Shirley Byrum, Rev. Scott Cooley and Rev. James “Totchie” McLain officiated. Interment followed in the Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. McAllister is survived by her mother, Maxine Warren; sister in law, Marie Smith; brothers in law, Tommy (Jessica) McAllister and Jerry McAllister; nieces, Sarah (Jim) Retliff, Stacie (Shane) Cooper, Amber McAllister, Madison (Blaine) Brown, Jade (Jacob) Kittle and Grace McAllister; nephews, Shawn (Amber) Smith, Tyson McAllister, Hunter Benefield and Vayden McAllister; great nieces, Samantha Coley, Emily Jurgvan, Avery Cooper, Mary Ann Laughlin, Wrenley Kittle, Roseanna Brown; great nephew, Kolten Cooper; great great niece, Ryley Coley; and her beloved dogs, Sophie and Eliana.
Mrs. McAllister was preceded in death by her husband, David McAllister; father, Billy Warren; brother, Larry Warren; father and mother in law, Melvin McAllister and Pearl McAllister; and brother in law, Russell Smith.
