Patrick Dicus has announced his intent to seek election to the Scottsboro Board of Education, Place 1.
In his announcement Dicus stated, “I am Patrick Dicus, a lifelong Scottsboro resident, a Scottsboro graduate, proud parent, and 20-year firefighter with the Scottsboro Fire Department. I am seeking place 1 on the Board of Education. With over two decades of service as a firefighter, I know the value of teamwork, responsibility, and dedication. These principles guide me in my career, as a parent, as a member of First Baptist Church, and in community involvement.
I believe every child deserves access to quality education that prepares them for the future. I want to ensure that our schools provide a safe, nurturing environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, athletically and more. As a parent, I’m personally invested in the success of our system. I understand concerns of parents and will work to represent the interests of our families. I am committed to transparency, accountability, and fostering open communication between parents, teachers, administrators, and the community. I ask for your vote to bring experience, dedication, and a fresh perspective to our children’s education.”
