Goose Pond to host 42nd annual July 4th celebration

Goose Pond Colony Resort is pleased to host the 42nd annual Fourth of July Celebration on the banks of the Tennessee River. This is the oldest annual 4th of July celebration held in Alabama. The tradition continues this year with a full evening of musical entertainment, family fun and North Alabama’s largest free firework display.

Admission to the event is free, and food and drinks will be available for purchase from a variety of vendors at the event. No outside alcoholic beverages will be allowed to be brought in or to be transported from outside of Goose Pond Colony. Beer will be available for purchase at the Amphitheater. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to the celebration.

The concert will feature the Jess Goggans Band and the Stranded Band. Both bands are local to Northeast Alabama. Jess Goggans is recognized for her sultry Southern Grit and the Stranded Band is one the most popular Southern Rock bands around.

Daniel Smith, a regular performer at the Goose Pond 4th of July Celebration, will sing the national anthem. Smith is one of the most requested National Anthem performers in the South.
