Betty Jo Wicks Hendrick, age 90, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2024. Funeral services were held on June 1, 2024 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Steve Barber and Pastor Adam Rice officiated. A graveside service followed on June 2, 2024 from the Lone Oak Cemetery in Robbinsville, N.C.
Mrs. Hendrick is survived by her daughters, Debora Kay Anderson and Constance Renee (Gary) Rice; sister, Carolyn Jean Ainsworth; stepchildren, Kelly Hendrick Marca, Tanya Gail (John) Hendrick, William Timothy (Debbie) Hendrick and Glenda Gail Hendrick; grandchildren, Candice Jo (Dean) Anderson, Angela Renee (Sean) Vereen, Bo (Rebekah) Rice, Michael (Roxanne) Anderson, Heather (David) Dilmore and Adam (Sarah) Rice; twenty grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Mrs. Hendrick was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Edward Rowland and Edna Leola Waldrop; husbands, Arthur D. Wicks, Jr. and William Donald Hendrick; son in law, Larry Anderson; stepson, Dale Hendrick; and sisters, Janet Elaine VanDevender and Patsy Ann Lucas.
