Lonia Christine Stapler, age 85, passed away on May 20, 2024. Funeral services were held on May 23, 2024 from the Oak Grove Holiness Church. Bro. Nicky Willmon officiated. Interment followed in the Gunter Mountain Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Stapler is survived by her daughters, Terisa Franks, Brenda (Steve) Rice, Kim (Marty) Pritchett; sons, Scottie Stapler and Brad (Paige) Stapler; daughter in law, Sandra Stapler; grandchildren, Heath (Stephanie) Stapler, Eric (Tiffiany) Stapler, Casey (Thad) Blake, Haley (Mitchell) Payne, Jessica (Travis) Willoughby, Josh (Chynna) Rice, Jasmine (Jon) Matlock, Hunter Pritchett, Logan Stapler, Mackenzie Osborne, Trey Stapler, Chance Stapler and Macy Stapler; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Coulter, Shirley Grubbs, Leona Frank and Nell Wallingsford; brothers, Freddy Swearengin and Tommy Swearengin; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mrs. Stapler was preceded in death by her husband, J.R. Stapler; son, Randy Stapler; son in law, Bruce Franks; granddaughter, Ashley Stapler; parents, Grady Swearengin and Cootie Stapler; and siblings, Charles Swearengin, Donald Swearengin and Peggy Goodson.
