Marie Whitehead, age 73, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Roger Haney officiated. Interment followed in the Gant Cemetery.
Mrs. Whitehead is survived by her daughters, Regina M. (Andrew) Jones, Sabrina M. Smith; son, Jeremy S. (Susan) Smith; grandchildren, Joseph Shay Smith, Jacob Sampson Smith, Dawn Irene Maples, David Tucker Maples, Mason Andrew Jones, Rory Marie Jones.
Mrs. Whitehead was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Wayne Whitehead; parents, William G. and Irene Gibson; brothers, Roy Gibson, John G. Gibson, William E. Gibson, Howard Gibson; sisters, Virginia Paradise, Elizabeth Dudley, Vola Mae Morgan.
