Bettie Jane Moretz Jordan, age 77 of Scottsboro, passed away on March 23, 2023. A memorial service was held on April 2, 2024 from the Goose Pond Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Jordan is survived by her children, Robin Belinda Jordan (Travis Lee) Hill and Matthew Richard (Natalie Whitt) Jordan; granddaughter, Rhian Meghan Hill (Christopher Alan) Robinson; grandsons, Matthew Wyatt Jordan, Braeden Connor Hill and Colin Richard Hill; great grandchildren, Elaina Saleste Crooker-Robinson, Isaac Matthew Dodson and Elaina Mackenzie Dodson.
Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her parents, Murray Randolph Moretz and Mattie Virginia Anders; sisters, Mildred Joyce Moretz, Goldie Marie Moretz, Gladys Ruth Moretz and Bonnie Jean Moretz (Leslie Jones and Pete) Witten; brothers, Gerald Rudolph Moretz and Harold Lee (Lorraine) Moretz; husband, Richard Paul Jordan; and best friends, Asonya Fletcher and Jimmie Coker.
