Rita Gail Atchley Guffey, age 69 of Grant, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from the Grant Memorial Chapel. Interment followed in the Old Prospect Cemetery. Rev. Mark Askew officiated.
Mrs. Guffey is survived by her husband, Billy Ray Guffey; son, Billy F. (Paula) Guffey; daughters, Rita Michelle (Terry) Guffey, Pam (Kenny) Towry and Donna (Danny) Kennedy; brothers, Audie (Tracie) Atchley, Heath (Kristina) Atchley and Robert S. (Libby) Atchley; sisters, Ponece (Tony) Talley and Holy (David) Atchley; grandchildren, Billy L. Guffey, Heather Guffey, T.J. Loudermilk, J.T. Loudermilk, Brandon Loudermilk, Brandon Kennedy and Matthew Kennedy; and great grandchildren, Brayden Moore, Billy Guffey, Bentley Guffey, Pink Guffey, Lilly Grace Towry, Jonah Fleming, Riley Stewart.
Mrs. Guffey was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Atchley; mother, Nellie Dixie Sutton Atchley; brothers, Terry Atchley and Mitchell Atchley; and grandson, Justin Allen Pink Guffey.
