Cecil Wayne Guthrie, age 66 of Scottsboro, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024. Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jodie Bell officiated Interment followed in the Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Guthrie is survived by his wife, Barbara Guthrie; daughter, Jennifer Ferguson; son, Michael Guthrie; grandchildren, Trey Totherow and Kenley Ferguson; emotional support dog, Jo-Jo; mother in law, Viola Ferguson; siblings, Angeilla Dolberry, James (Diana) Guthrie, Donald Guthrie, Joey (Cindi) Ward and Scotty (Kimerly) Guthrie; sisters in law, Diane Boyd, Kathy Harris; brothers in law, Bruce Ferguson, Justin (Darlene) Ferguson and Roger Ferguson; nieces and nephews, Randy (Tina) Ferguson, Charlie (Susan) Miller; as well as several other nieces and nephews; special friends, Billy Van Hastings, Butch Thompson; and a host of other friends.
Mr. Guthrie was preceded in death by his father, J.W. “Bill” Guthrie; mother, Mary Frances Ward; brothers, Tommy Dale Guthrie and James Houston Guthrie; sister, Shelia Salters; father in law, Junior Ferguson; sister in law, Tammy Ferguson; nephew, James Guthrie; and niece, Jennifer Gosset.
