Carolyn Gist Staton, age 88 of Scottsboro, passed away on January, 23, 2024. Funeral services were held on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from the Rudder Funeral Home chapel. Bro. Shandy Dill officiated. Interment followed in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Staton is survived by her husband, Wayne Staton; son, Tim (Shannon) Haston; daughter, Melanie (Steve) Johnson; grandchildren, Ben (Robyn) Johnson, Tyler (Mary Margaret) Johnson, Wimberly Haston, Windsor Haston, Corey Haston, Chris Haston, Anthony (Keisha) Haston, Paige (Garon) Machen, Sydney (Brandon) McGee; and twelve great grandchildren.
Mrs. Staton was preceded in death by her parents, Almon Gist and Pearl Gist; sister, Mona Neal; and sons, Richard Haston and Steve Staton.
