Wanda Sue Johnston Dean, age 77 of Scottsboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain Randy Evers officiated. Interment followed in the Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Dean is survived by her husband, Joel Jerome Dean, Sr.; children, Cynthia (Hughlon) Cornelison, Connie Clark, Joey (Denise) Dean, Clara (Tony) Vines; grandchildren, Quentin (Vanessa) Cornelison, Derek Cornelison, Katrina (Michael) Dynak, Tyler (Sarah) Dean, Miranda Dean, Chris (Jenn) Venable, Darryl Nathan (Jennifer) Venable, Holly (Eric) Stewart; fifteen great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Johnson and Sandra (Steve) Law; and brothers, Danny (Joy) Johnston and Phillip (Carol) Johnston.
Mrs. Dean was preceded in death by her mother, Lora Ruth Seabolt Johnston; brother, Grady Johnston, Jr. and his twin.
