Deborah Gail Carter, age 68 of Scottsboro, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2014. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Living Word Ministries this week. Pastor Johnny Johnson will officiate.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband, David Mike Carter; daughters, Tanya (Chip) Slaten, Tammy (Jason) Dixson and Teresa Guffey; grandchildren, Bailey Lakin, Rhiley Dixson, Noah Dixson, Hanna Walden, Brooke (Grant) Beck and Jake (Jordan) Slaten; great grandchildren, Logan Walden, Addison Beck and Allie Bordner; and siblings, Darlene (John) Lepley, Sheila (Louis) Baskins and Donna Faye Bethers; as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins, additional relatives and a host of wonderful friends.
Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Bradley and Martha Martin; siblings, Shearon (Jim and Jeremy) Harris and Tommy Bradley; grandchild, Courtney Raines; nephew, Corey Nelson; great nephew, Charlie Carter; and in-laws, Jackie Carter and Dill Carter.
