Roy Cranford Guffey, age 83 of Swearengin, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023. Funeral services were held on Sunday, September 17, 2023 from the Grant Memorial Chapel. Bro. Barry Pritchett, Bro. Nicky Willmon and Bro. Alton Willmon officiated. Interment followed in the Gunter Mountain Memory Gardens.
Mr. Guffey is survived by his daughter, Joan (Bill) Stapler, Jr.; son, Stevie (Kelli) Guffey; grandchildren, Coty Stapler, Megan Stapler, Ryan Guffey, Brenda Guffey, Amber Guffey and Anna Stapler; great grandchildren, Emma Guffey, Joel Guffey and Laken Guffey; sisters, Jane (Eskill) Dotson and Carolyn Brown; bonus grandchild, Tyler McLain and his family; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Guffey was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Cameron Guffey; and parents, J.D. Guffey and Birdie Walls Guffey.
