Arvie Lee “ Al” Bates, age 100 of Browntown, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Funeral services were held on Friday, August 11, 2023 from the Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Kirk Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Bates is survived by his daughter, Brenda Bates Sargent; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; eleven great great children.
Mr. Bates was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Bates; daughter, Barbara Bates Whiteside; parents, Millard and Vishie Bates; as well as several brothers and sisters
