Kathy Virginia Geckles passed away Monday, July 10, 2023 at her home in Swearengin. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Grant Memorial Chapel. Interment followed in Free Home Cemetery.

Mrs. Geckles was born in Marshall County on August 6, 1966 to Frank and Christine Goodwin Jones. She was a loving and a very loved person. Whenever she had business at the courthouse, she made a point to take doughnuts to them there. She also loved buying candy during the entire month of October and giving it out to kids all month. This earned her the nickname, “Granny Candy.” Kathy was always up for an adventure and for making memories.

She was the devoted wife to Jr. Geckles; precious mother to Erik (Carol) Geckles; and the “Granny Kat” to her two grandsons, James and John Geckles.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Austin Jones.
