Mr. James “Shorty” Waldrop, 77 of Pisgah, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at his residence. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 in Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Anthony Pannell, Bro. James Waldrop and Bro. Ted Waldrop officiating. Burial followed in Kirk Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his sons, James Waldrop, Buster (Kim) Waldrop, Bo (Leigh) Waldrop; daughters, Carol (Danny) Stewart, Michell (Jason) Compton; sisters, Norma (Waylon) Smalley, Maude (Wayne) Ellis, Marcelle (Wendell) Dutton, Kathleen (Barry) Goodwin, 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Waldrop; parents, Norman and Syble Waldrop; brothers, Teddy Waldrop, Roger Waldrop.
