Mrs. Teresa Rena Jacobs Lovelady, of Scottsboro, born on Sunday, January 1, 1961, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Private graveside services were held for family and close friends.

Teresa was a lifelong resident of Scottsboro and worked in the Scottsboro school systems until the birth of her son, and attended the First United Methodist Church in Scottsboro. She was a long-time member of the Scottsboro Beautification Council and well known as a sweet, kind, friend to all she knew and met.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, John Lovelady; son, Sidney Lovelady; brothers, Randal (Reggie) Jacobs, William (Lynn) Lovelady; sister, Jeannie Jones; mother-in-law, Frances Lovelady; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norma and Comer Jacobs.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Teresa’s memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
