Zachery Shann Ware, 32 of Grant, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Grant Memorial Chapel with Bro. Alton Willmon, Bro. Michael Clark and Bro. Chris Sims officiating. Burial followed in New Prospect Cemetery.
Zach had a rough start in life. Born with cystic fibrosis and some major complications, he was a fighter from day one. He lived his life like there was no tomorrow. Whatever he did, he did to the fullest. From tearing apart vacuum cleaners as a kid, to tearing up the yard with his little Honda 50 motorcycle, he was a wild man right out of the gate. During his teenage years, he even competed in a race at the Cleveland Motorcross Park. He once locked the motor on his dirt bike from riding a wheelie so long. He was a daredevil, to say the least; whatever he did, he was all in. If he jumped on the trampoline, it was full-on back flips and whatever else he could pull off; just regular jumping wouldn’t do it for him. He was smart and had a knack for figuring things out.
When he got older, he worked at Waterfront Grocery and fell in love with fishing and would go with his dad and brother regularly. Those were some of their best days together. He always out-fished everyone. Even as a kid, he could be sitting on the side of the boat with his feet splashing and pulling them in left and right when no one else was catching anything. He loved his parents with all his heart. Even with the struggles he faced in life, he would regularly thank them for not giving up on him. He loved his family and would light up whenever his niece and nephews would come around. He would do anything for them.
Zach is survived by his loving parents, Gerald “Bud” and Rhonda Ware; brother, Michael (Brandi) Ware; niece, Grace Ware; nephews, Landon Ware, Easton Ware; girlfriend, Kara Bates; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Melanie Sims; grandparents, Louise and Sherman Jackson, Ilene and Billy Ware, Sr.; three uncles, James Jackson, Wade Jackson, Billy Jackson.
