Mrs. Mildred Louise McGaha, 86, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Chappel and Bro. Aaron Andrews officiating. Interment followed in Paint Rock Cemetery.

Mildred was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, who loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Claude McGaha; daughters, Sherry (Mike) Womack, Sheila (Robert) Hare; sons, Benny (Shirley) McGaha, Dennis (Kelle Cash) McGaha, Donald (Pam) McGaha; sister, Betty (Deryle) Powell; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Arnettie Thompson; sisters, Ruby McGaha, Rita Thompson; brothers, Boots, Robert, Clarence, Merl, J.L., Charles Thompson.
