Mr. Joe Ronald Abercrombie, 85 of Scottsboro, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bert Simpson officiating. Burial followed in Hopewell Community Cemetery.

He was a United States veteran. Mr. Abercrombie loved Alabama football and all sports. He had the biggest heart.

He is survived by his son, Duncan (Celeste) Phillips; grandson, Brock (Sloan) Phillips; granddaughter, Ellie Phillips; nephew, Chuck (Sonia) Abercrombie; niece, Andrea (Johnny) Sims; special friends, J.D. and Stella Atkins, Gary and Karen Glenn; several beloved cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Abercrombie; parents, W.Woody and Hazel Abercrombie; son, Allen Phillips; brother, Larry Abercrombie.
