Mrs. Irene Rose, 96 of Fort Payne, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Johnson, Rev. Robert Oyler and Rev. Mickey Watts officiating. Burial followed in Mountain View Memory Gardens.

She is survived by her sons, Walter (Lolita) Rose, James (Meriam) Rose; daughters, Dorothy (James Spencer) Traffansted, Angela (Steven) Hoge; brother, Bobby (Geneda) Stone; sister, Sybil Swafford; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Rose; granddaughter, Kathy Hicks; parents, Wilburn Stone and Roxie Brannon; brothers, Wilburn Stone, Roy Stone, Floyd Stone, Loyd Stone; sisters, Rodamae Henderson, Ruby Reynolds, Bertha Wright.
