Mrs. Jewel D. Morrison, 84 of Grant, born on Wednesday, April 13, 1938 to Willis and Mary Hayes, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023. Funeral services were held on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Grant Memorial Chapel with Rev. Anthony Barnes officiating. Burial followed in Free Home Cemetery.

She loved gardening and her flowers, her family and even becoming another mother to many other people.

She is survived by her sons, Byrl (Martha) Derrick, Keith Derrick; daughter, Pam (Freddie) Hughes; grandchildren, Scott (Carrie) Howdeshell, Mitchell Derrick, John Derrick; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with her her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Olene Rogers, Laverta Holcomb, Noel Hayes, Robert Hayes, W.L. Hayes, Mary Harris.
