Mr. Jerry “Sweet Moma” Wayne Cowart, 74 of Rainsville, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at his residence. Funeral services were held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Terry Bohannon and Pastor Richard Montgomery officiating. Entombment followed in Mountain View Memory Gardens.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Peggy Reagan; daughters, Trussia (Tim McGill) Cowart, Jenny (Joey) Gravitt; grandchildren, Josh (Adrean) Gravitt, Jayla (Peyton) Smith, Timothy McGill, II; great-grandchild, Jay Gravitt; special cousins, Sheila Holtzhower, Jackie Rider, Joyce Parrish, Janice Cushen.

e was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Lethel Cowart; grandmother, Janie Cushen.
