Mr. Paul Carl Kirtland, 59, born on Tuesday, August 13, 1963 to Charles and Tsuruko Kanashiro-Kirtland, peacefully passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Memorial services were held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with a celebration of life following at the VFW Post 6073 in Scottsboro.

Paul graduated from Scottsboro High in 1981 and enlisted into the United States Army. He was a proud Army veteran who loved his county. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a man of God who loved the Lord.

He is survived by his children, Brooke (Earl) Tisdale, Heather (Tim) Jeffrey, Michael (Shannon) Kirtland, Paul (Jacqueline) Kirtland, II, Charles Kirtland, Suzanne Kirtland; brother, Phillip Kirtland; sisters, Suzanne Day, Kay Kirtland; stepdaughter, Amanda (Dennis) Reed; grandchildren; Taylor, Brandon, Julia, Cane, Austen, Brianna, Morgan, Sherry, Elizabeth, Cameron, Sophia, Killian, Gabriel, Greyson, Mia, Sylas, Nathan, Carley, Kaliyah, Fallon, Gavin, Emily; great-grandsons, Kayden, Kason; many special nieces and nephews; special friend, Carol Martin.

He was reunited with his parents; brothers, Charles, Steve and Kirt Kirtland; beloved wife, Sherry Kirtland.
