Mr. Robert F. Lackey, 92 of Scottsboro, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Kirk Griggs and Dr. Matt Helms officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Robert was a Korean War veteran, fighting with the Alabama National Guard 151st Engineer Combat Battalion Company B. He retired from Mead. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 50 years. His church was very important to him. He served as a deacon, member of the choir and Calvary Quartet. He will be remembered as a faithful man of God. His presence and love will be missed. He left a legacy for all of us to live up to.

He is survived by his sisters, Ruth (Jack) Cottis, Opal (Andy) Kepner, Darlene Griggs; a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Lackey; parents, Dewey and Annie Lackey; brothers, George Lackey, Dee Lackey, Cecil Lackey, Delbert Lackey; sisters, Louise Bellomy, Virginia Sanders.
