Mrs. Peggy Stapler Goodson, 66 of Swearengin, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at the home of her son and daughter-in-law on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Funeral services were held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Grant Memorial Chapel with Bro. Nicky Willmon officiating. Burial followed in New Prospect Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, David Goodson; son, Toby (Amber) Clark; brothers, Everett Stapler, Jr., Freddy Swearengin, Tommy (Tammy) Swearengin; sisters, Bobbie Tibbett, Lonia Stapler, Shirley Grubbs, Leona Frank, Mary Coulter, Nell (Ricky) Wallingsford; grandchildren, Riley, Samuel and Caden Clark; a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Inez Stapler; son, Danny Clark; brothers, Charles Swearengin, Donald Swearengin; two infant sisters.
