On Thursday, February 16, 2023, Mrs. Imogene Gamble, 85, passed away at her home in the Kelly Chapel community, surrounded by her family. Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Grant Memorial Chapel with Bro. Verlon Willmon, Bro. Dewayne McLain and Bro. Jackie Guffey speaking. Burial followed in Kelly Chapel Cemetery.
Imogene loved gardening, reading and watching hummingbirds. She was a loyal member of the Bonds Chapel Holiness Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Gamble; children, Rickey (Joan) Gamble, Tim (Rhonda) Gamble, Pat (Jackie) Guffey, Tammie (Joey) Avans, Travis (Pam) Gamble; grandchildren, Elena (Darin) Pierce, Matt (Kim) Gamble, Josh (Kayla) Guffey, Tiffany (Thomas) Williams, Haley Gamble, Caleb Avans, Sarah Avans; great-grandchildren, Lane Gamble, Ally Gamble, Caden Williams, Canon Guffey, Jack Williams, Cash Williams, Beau Williams, Natalie Pierce, Savannah Guffey; siblings, Evelyn Langston, Danny (Rhonda) Guffey, Rodney (Cyndi) Guffey; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dock and Rosa Lee Guffey; siblings, J.W. Guffey, Joan Guffey, Ruth Duke, Bonnie Giovanetti, Boyd Guffey, Jr.
