God’s faithful servant, Mrs. Virginia E. Miller, 94 of Scottsboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Rudder Funeral Home with Rev. Polly Robb officiating. Interment followed at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
She graduated from Northeast Alabama Community College and finished her degree at Athens State, later earning a Masters at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She taught school at Limrock, Woodville and Hollywood. She was a member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. After retirement, she traveled all over the world, many times.
She is survived by her son, Eugene (Deborah) Miller; sister, Peggy Gould. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Miller; parents, Ernest and Bessie Ferguson; brothers, Eldridge, Euthel, Granville and Herman Ferguson; sisters, Sue Brown, Edna Ferguson, Inez Wicks, Yvonnie Ferguson.
