Virginia O. Guerra of Murfreesboro, born on Monday, August 12, 1935, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 after spending the holidays with family in the snowy mountains of California. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Rudder Funeral Home.
Virginia was born to Elizabeth and Bose Olinger. She was a longtime resident of Jackson County and one of 12 siblings of the Olinger Family. She loved to be outdoors and gardening, and her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren run wild in the fresh air like she did as a child. The grandchildren will especially miss their Hamma. Virginia was best known for her signature red hair and her sass that came along with it. Anyone who met her, loved her, and her family will deeply miss her strong presence in their lives.
She is survived by her children, Alicia Nichols, Christopher Guerra, Vincent Guerra, Michael Guerra; grandchildren, Brittany (Jeremy) Cummings, Sarah Nichols, Tatiane Guerra; great-grandchildren, Gunner Cummings, Karoline Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Guerra.
The family is deeply saddened by her passing and are comforted in their grief by knowing she is with them daily, and they are proud of the legacy she left for them to build upon.
