Brittany Joyce Smith, age 33, has pled guilty to the shooting death of Joshua Todd Smith in her Stevenson, Alabama home on January 16, 2018.
Brittany Joyce Smith was arrested by the Alabama State Fire Marshal with assistance from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office on the night of Friday, September 18, 2020 on second degree charges of arson at a residence.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The TVA STEM Classroom Grant Program is open for applications with $800,000 in funding available for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics learning projects in classrooms and schools in areas served by TVA across the Tennessee Valley.
A bond revocation hearing was held on Friday, September 11, 2020 in the case of Brittany Joyce Smith. The Jackson County Circuit Court is currently awaiting Circuit Court Judge Jenifer C. Holt’s ruling on whether or not Smith’s bond may be revoked after her failure to appear twice for substance screening, and the alleged positive tests that resulted from a screening she was present to perform.
The Trail of Tears Commemorative Motorcycle Ride begins at the Alabama/Tennessee state line on U. S. Highway 72 in Bridgeport with riders departing at 8 a.m. CST on Saturday, Sept. 19. The ride travels U. S. Highway 72 West to I-565 West, arriving at Redstone Harley-Davidson at 10:30 a.m. for an official ride rest and lunch stop. At 12 p.m., riders will depart and head west through Florence arriving in Waterloo at 2:30 p.m.
