What a wonderful God we serve!

When we take time to survey all the beauty around us we can’t help but think “What a wonderful God we serve!”

It is wonderful to know that no matter the situation; heart break, grief, depression, or just feeling lost He is always right there loving us and offering us His hand. All we have to do is reach out to Him. But we don’t have to wait until we are in trouble to take His hand. It is so comforting as we go through our daily routines to know that He is there supporting us.

What a soothing feeling to know He loves us and is looking out for us and answering our prayers. So many times I have cried out to him in my sorrow, depression or whatever heartbreak I was suffering at the time and He came to me.

So many prayers He has answered for me whether I was praying for myself or someone else. I have prayed for someone and expectantly sat back and waited for the good news. Not every time I prayed for not in our time but His, but many times He was right on time just like I knew He would be when I called on Him.

We must never be afraid to acknowledge Him publicly for He wants us to be His disciples and we can do that by telling the world of His goodness. I remember in my youth going to my mother and asking her to pray for me for I just knew He heard her prayers. Today because I saw her unswerving faith I feel I have reached that realm. When I pray I believe. We must have faith and believe He is going to hear us. I never doubt that He will hear me.

A particular incident stands out in my mind. The sister of an employee was suffering greatly with cancer and the family had been told there was no hope. The pain was terrible. One night I prayed asking the Lord to please ease her pain if she could not get well. I noted the time I prayed. When I asked about her the next day her sister said, “She got easy about 3:00 this morning.” That was about the time I was praying for her.

He does listen to us when we pray. We only have to believe.
